Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Students Comparison of Awareness and Demand for Driving Rehabilitation

Abstract
Objective : The purpose of this study is to provide basic data on the occupational therapist's position as an expert on driving rehabilitation by identifying and comparing the current awareness and demands of driving rehabilitation among occupational therapists and occupational therapy students.

Methods : Self-produced online questionnaire was sent and analyzed.

Results : The two groups showed significant differences except for some items in awareness and demand. Most of the respondent said that 73 people (28.6%) need to introduce 'expert qualification system introduction' to raise awareness, also that 226 people (88.6%) were pick 'occupational therapist' as experts on driving rehabilitation.

Conclusion : Driving rehabilitation was found to be a important area of high demand and need in occupational therapy clinical field and educational settings. Improving awareness of driving rehabilitation and Policy and institutional improvements are needed for occupational therapists.
